5×7 Photo Size in Pixels – PrintPixel Tool

A 5×7 inch print is the classic size for a desk frame — noticeably larger than 4×6, with a more square 5:7 ratio. Here are the pixel counts you need for one.

Practical details

A 5×7 at 300 PPI needs 1500 × 2100 pixels. Because its 5:7 ratio is more square than the 3:2 of a typical camera photo, expect to crop a little off the sides of landscape shots (or the top and bottom of portrait ones) when printing 5×7.

At 240 PPI, 1200 × 1680 pixels still gives a print that looks sharp at normal viewing distance — a good balance if you're working with an older phone photo.
